IDOC failing because of é instead of special character é

Hi,

I am facing the following issue.

The Inbound IDOC is not printing the special character é instaed its printing the character é . Hence, the IDOC is failing to create a vendor in SAP.

Details of Inbound IDOC:

Basic type:ADRMAS03
Message type:ADRMAS

Segment: E1BPAD1VL
Field : CITY

Please suggest where the error could be and how to resolve the same.
