Hai,

Yes you can upload this.

Upload this to a internal table using GUI upload.

Then from the internal table using Split separate the values into different fields of another internal table.

So the final internal table will contain your required information.

Hi shehryar,

Is it a flat file (Text) or Excel file

If Excel

U have to use CALL METHOD

1)cl_gui_frontend_services=>file_open_dialog

2) CALL METHOD cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_upload

This gui_upload will upload into u r internal table and then loop the intenal table and do according to u r requirements..

Can u give u r mail id i will send u the Program...

Hi shehryar,

1. There are a few things

a) This flat file is not in continouus row format

(it has got breaks, and formattings)

b) The data, i suppose is business data,

and is not to be uploaded in Z Table,

rather it has to go in the HR payroll data.

c) This data should be uploaded

by functional consultant,

bcos it involves WAGE TYPES,

(simple description of wages will not suffice)

d) Moreover, this kind of data, needs to

be process in r/3 (using payroll run)

instead of uploading data.

How will this thing be transferred into he internal table..

Secondly, what will be the types of the internal tables...

Thanks..

Hi again,

1. The data in the file can be at most

populated in internal table.

2. But what after that ?

3. This needs a complete functional specifications

and full logic.

4. Moreover, i don't think its any easy work.
