Hi Srini,

You should have two SAP system Landscapes for full fledge implementations to learn complete ALE/IDOC concepts

Try these scenarios.

1. Send Material Data from System1 to System2 using ALE.

a) using Stanadard tcode BD10

b) Using Change Pointers Concepts

2. Send Sales order/Purchase Order from System1 to System2 using Message

Few TCODES/Tables for ALE settings

EDIDC  IDoc Structure definition

EDIDD  IDoc Data record

EDIDS  IDoc Status Record

ARFCDATA  IDoc packets are stored

Transactions:

WE31  Create Segment

WE30  Create IDoc Type

WE81  Create Message Type

WE82  Assign IDoc type to message type

BD54  Create Logical System

SM59  RFC destination

WE21 Port Assignment

WE20  Partner profile

BD64  Distribution Model

WE41  Outbound Process codes

WE42  Inbound Process codes

WE57 Assignment of FM to message type and IDoc type

BD51  Characteristics of Inbound function module

WE02 or WE05  IDoc Status

Function modules:

MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE  ALV service layer is invoked.

IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS  Passes IDoc to system

Programs:

RSEOUT00  Program to be run after the IDoc is collected

RSARFEX  This Program calls INBOUND_IDOC_PROCESS

RBDAPP01  Inbound program

Ale Settings:

Transaction SALE

Basic settings  Logical Systems  Define Logical System ( Use already defined systems )

 Assign Logical system to client
