How to transport text translations

Hello All,

I have to change the translations for data elements, when i change the translation in development system it is not asking any work bench request.

I am completely helpless how to TRANSPORT this to Quality systems.

This is only chane i have to make

Hi Amerander,

It won't ask for the Trasport request only for the translations

we have 2 options:

1) do any changes (like add space or dot) to your original language(hopfully 'EN' ) and do save it will ask for the transport request in that tranport request you can add your translations. ( after doing the changes in the original lang. you revert back to the original discription so that it wont effect to the previous one.

or

2)You have to inclued manually them in the TR.

Refer to any other translations done which are included in any TR,and similarly add it in TASK of the TR.

then either of the cases works.

thank you, i have created one DB table and translations eralier, that time i dont have any issuees,

but now i have to change only translation of an existing table. so i am facing this problem.

can you please explain a lil more on the second point

Prashanth's first method is short and simple way of doing it.

hi, u dont need to change the text,

just edit it like add a dot save it will ask for cts, enter and save now remove ur dot and again save so now the text is not change but included in ur cts.

run RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER, it will create TR for the languages you done changes and then transport.

RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER this program does not exist in my system, i am using 4.7 version

Sap will not ask for any work bench request. After finishing work we have to assign them explicitly to a request.

Use SLXT transaction for that.

Hi,

I have also worked on this translation part. Please follow with the given steps:

1) Create a Workbench Request using SE09 following your standards for description.

2) The description for the task will be unclassified. So select the task and click on the menu Request/Task and select change type.

3) Select the Change Task type to Development/Correction.

4) Select the task and click on display button. You will find three tabs Properties,Object and Documentation in that screen.

5) Click Objects and click on change button. Then give your Program ID,Object Type and Object Name and save it.

6) Then finally you can transport this request to your quality system.

i am doing this for a data element, and a screen

i tried finding it but i could not find any relevant prog id and object type for these.

(i could find for report texts but thats of no use for me)

Goto SE63-->Menu>Translations-->R3 enterprise->Short text->S4 repository text-->Data elemts

Give ur data element name and give translations language u want.

Hi selva, this way text will be translated but not included in CTS, the OP wants to include the text along with translation into CTS, do read the question carefully bfore answereing.

Select the Program ID as R3TR and find the Object type using F4 help (Use CTRL+F and type data element). Then give your data element name in the Object Name.
