which type of attachment is it?
I have no problem with 'HTM|' or 'XLS', but really don't understand how to do it with list

Just convert the "list" to some kind of file (text, html, xlsx, etc.)
- Which kind of list : some spool, itab, ALV ?
- By default Abap list are converted to htm (check SCOT Customizing)
- Did you check SAP demo reports such as BCS_EXAMPLE_8
