How to pass the internal table created in program lines in smartform

Former Member

Hi all,

I have to print the contents of an internal table which is created in program lines of smartforms into one text element.

No variable or table can be passed from report in this case. All the coding is in smartform.

If I use the Loop to write the table, the internal tables must be declared in Tables of Form interface. But if we declare it, it will ask the table as required parameters.

Whether I am making any mistake?

Please guide me. Points will be rewarded for any type of clue.

Hi,

A Simple Smartform Tutorial

SAP Smartforms can be used for creating and maintaining forms for mass printing in SAP Systems. The output medium for Smartforms support printer, fax, e-mail, or the Internet (by using the generated XML output).

According to SAP, you need neither have any programming knowledge nor use a Script language to adapt standard forms. However, basic ABAP programming skills are required only in special cases (for example, to call a function module you created or for complex and extensive conditions).

1. Create a new smartforms

Transaction code SMARTFORMS

Create new smartforms call ZSMART

2. Define looping process for internal table

Pages and windows

First Page -> Header Window (Cursor at First Page then click Edit -> Node -> Create)

Here, you can specify your title and page numbering

&SFSY-PAGE& (Page 1) of &SFSY-FORMPAGES(Z4.0)& (Total Page)

Main windows -> TABLE -> DATA

In the Loop section, tick Internal table and fill in

ITAB1 (table in ABAP SMARTFORM calling function) INTO ITAB2

3. Define table in smartforms

Global settings :

Form interface

Variable name Type assignment Reference type

ITAB1 TYPE Table Structure

Global definitions

Variable name Type assignment Reference type

ITAB2 TYPE Table Structure

4. To display the data in the form

Make used of the Table Painter and declare the Line Type in Tabstrips Table

e.g. HD_GEN for printing header details,

IT_GEN for printing data details.

You have to specify the Line Type in your Text elements in the Tabstrips Output options.

Tick the New Line and specify the Line Type for outputting the data.

Declare your output fields in Text elements

Tabstrips - Output Options

For different fonts use this Style : IDWTCERTSTYLE

For Quantity or Amout you can used this variable &GS_ITAB-AMOUNT(12.2)&

5. Calling SMARTFORMS from your ABAP program

REPORT ZSMARTFORM.

  • Calling SMARTFORMS from your ABAP program.

  • Collecting all the table data in your program, and pass once to SMARTFORMS

  • SMARTFORMS

  • Declare your table type in :-

Hi,

If u r doing all the coding in smartform u can define table in global definitions - > global data and in types also.

If u are getting internal table from program then u need to define table in form interface. but in u are case every thing has to done in smartform itself.

Please try defining in global data.

Thanks,

Hi,

Declare a TYPES in the type tab of Global definition then declare the internal table in the Global Data tab of that type ...

Reward points if it helps ...

Hi,

To pass Internal table in smartforms, you have to declare your Internal table in TABLES tab of Form Interface and Associated Type of the Internal table has to be:

"ABAP associated type for an interface parameter. The associated type must be a global Dictionary type or exist in a type pool. In the latter case, the type pool must be declared in the function group."

There is no other way to pass Internal table. Please try the method I have given and you will achieve your result.

Raj.

Hi,

in global definitons

select the tab types create a type like this

types:

begin of ty_mat_unit,

matnr type marm-matnr,

meinh type marm-meinh,

umrez type marm-umrez, " Alternative unit of measure

umren type marm-umren, " Base unit of measure

end of ty_mat_unit.

then in global data

declare an interanl table and work area for that

IT_MAT_UNIT TYPE TABLE OF TY_MAT_UNIT

WA_MAT_UNIT TYPE TY_MAT_UNIT

use this for storing the data.

ok no need of decalring it in form interface
