how to install SAP ABAP Platform 1909 Developer Edition

Hi Experts

I find some kb about install SAP ABAP Platform 1909 Developer Edition. The means that I may choose Windows or

Ubuntu. which is fit for me ?Thanks. IF I choose windows. I directly install it on my pc ? IF I install it on Ubuntu.

I must install VM in my pc ,and I install Ubuntu in my VM?

• Either: a Docker for Desktop installation, for Windows or Mac.
• Or Docker Engine for Linux, e.g. Ubuntu.

When I read above blog , I don't know how to install ubuntu . I.E. ubuntu version , how to partition disk ?

if you can, try to install using SLE (suse), there is a SAP version, you just have to specify at VM level the size of the system, the memory, the CPU numbers.

I prefer to use real VM like VMWare or Paralell Desktop

Everything to know is described in the Setup Instructions provided on Docker Hub. You need a Docker Hub account to see the instrouctions.

Regarding your specific question what operation system to use: The developer trial is provided as docker image. That image can be executed on Mac or Windows (with installed Docker Desktop) or you can install Docker on a Linux environment. All requirements for the Docker setup are described in the linked documentation.

IMPORTANT: This and other possible issues are dealt with in the Install Guide for the previous developer edition, 7.52 SP04.
