How to get Emploee from Position in Workflow

Former Member

Hi all,

I'm developing a workflow and we are using Positions to send emails and Work Items.

Within the text of the emails there is sometimes need for the name of the "Position holder".

For example: When addressing the recipient - "Dear Mr John Smith,".

Does anyone know if there is a standard Task, or BOR method, or ABAP Class method that can get the Employee based on the Position?

I assume this a common requirement that's easily solvable... I hope! (I could write my own Class->Method, but there's no point in "reinventing the wheel").

Thanks,

Rajendra

Hello Rajendra

There are function modules available, e.g.:

- RH_OM_GET_HOLDER_OF_POSITION

- RH_GET_PERSONS_FROM_POSITION

- RHPH_HOLDERS_POSITION_READ

All the OM-related function modules relevant for your requirement begin with RH... . I searched with 'RHPOSITION'.

Regards

Uwe
