How to generate event logs

I want to generate event logs in SAP MM, can you please let me know some advices how to do this ( study manuals, tutorials, transactions).

Material code, vendor are the criteria I am thinking to relate on my analysis.

What are the "event logs"? Are you talking about change documents, change pointers, workflow events, etc.?
