How to check if Excel File is already open or Not

HI ,

I am using ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE to upload the File . But if mistakanly File gets opened it stuck in between , before checking the sy-subrc value only . So is there any way we can check if File is already open or not and give a error mesg.<br>Thanks

Other than formatting the question in such a way that I don't have to scroll into the neighbouring country to read it 😉 I don't know what to say.

Oh, yeah, I do: don't use that function, it is not released to customers. You can use abap2xlsx and a direct replacement for that function is shown in ZDEMO_EXCEL15. A complete table-upload method is in the works.

The FM abap2xlsx is not therr in my system and the program is not worked according to my requirement.

I have to upload the data from excel file and before that i just need to check if the file is already closed or not.
