You can create upto 16 indexes..but 5 is recommended...

Ans: 9.

The primary index is created automatically when a table is created in database and moreover you can further define reference to the primary index which are known as Secondary index.

Generally there is no limit to create seconday indexes, limitation is 4 for only the "selected database systems".

But more secondary Indexes reduces the performance, so recommanded are 4-6.

Maximun number of indexes for a table can be 9.
