Field label

Hi All!

I had created one custom field with custom data element and had given the label name over there for the field.It is displaying the field label name in all places when used.

But in one situation in VK11(create condition Records) where we input the condition type and a pop up comes for key combination with multiple radio button selections.

There my field is referred with the name rather then the field label.

I made all changes like deleting the table maintainance and again creating it but to no effect.

Can anybody throw some light on this issue.

i think the field labels are used in headings , like ALV headings and the name(description for fieldname) is used in transactions and ...

In the screen painter for the field label

double click on it and set from From Dictionary and choose the label!

Take a look at the following screenshot

Hi Praneeth,

If you are placing this custom field on module-pool screen then try to fetch it from dictionary. there it will give the label and input field.

if it is a selection screen, goto 'selection text' and click on check-box for fetching label from dictionary.
