F4 help in ALV output without using OOP

Hi Experts,

I need to have F4 help for one on the fields on ALV output.

I'm not following OOABAP and I want this to be done only in procedural level.

REF_FIELDNAME and REF_TABNAME in field-catalog definition do not work because the field and table I refer are Z-tables and the fields have no SEARCH HELP defined.

(Some of the blogs gave idea of "F4AVAILABL" property in field-catalog, anyway it threw syntax error)

Please advice me on this.

Thanks in advance.

Please do a Proper Search, there are some Resources on this, inside this Community and on the Web ...

Some hints :

General Remarks :

  • When filling the Fieldcatalog, you should also provide the "REF_FIELDNAME" and "REF_TABLE" along with the "F4AVAILABL" to make the correct Reference to a Field and its Content of it within a Table ...
  • Why use this Classic Approach which is not recommended anymore? Please consider moving to "SALV" or "CL_GUI_ALV_GRID" as Better Alternatives ...
