Excel Only Displaying Header Columns after downlading as local file ?

Hi ,

We have a z report which after executing displays data in ALV, the end user when tries to download the data in excel sheet using standard tool bar functionality in ALV(Cntrl + Shift + F9 ) downloads data in the formats (unconverted file, Rich text format, clipboard, HTML format) but not in spreadsheet format, in the spread sheet format the file is generated but with coloums text only & not populating the data generated in final internal table.

I tried debugging the standard ALV report but no luck so far

Please provide your suggestions?

Hello ,

Try to remove any default layout settings for ALV and check if you are able to download the data to excel.

Hello,

Make sure all the fields in the internal table are displyed in output.

check if you can download using the method below.

1. Press the Print Preview(CTRLSHIFTF10) button the ALV toolbar. Now output will be displayed as list.

2. Now press the Spreadsheet(CTRLSHIFTF7) button the ALV toolbar you get the Popup

3. Select the All Avaliable Format radio Button and from drop down list select EXCEL(In office 2003 XML Format) and press ok

4. select the location where to download. after download open the file and save as XLS.

Is this problem only with this report ?

Post the code and we can take a look.

Thanks for the input, the solution that you provide is also not working for us. However as i had mentioned there are several Z-Reports , the excel download functionality as well as other formats download functionality is working for other reports.

I tried tried debugging this standard ALV reports but no luck so far.

Hello,

We need more inputs regarding the code for eg field catalog info and type of function module being used for the display.

Also just copy the source code into a $tmp program,execute and check if its downloading.

Thanks All of you for your Input, the issue got resolved after upgrading the latest SAP GUI Patch.
