We're evaluating a new S/4 system which is on the following versions:
SAP_BASIS 757 0000 - SAP Basis Component
SAP_ABA 75H 0000 - Cross-Application Component

Hello
The error message reports that there are some issues with the SAP Fiori launchpad configuration or a missing role assignment.
Does your user have permission to open the relevant app?
Kind regards,
Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,
Thanks for your reply.
Our Fiori technical person fixed the problem with the Fiori Query Browser app and now there is no more error and the CDS view comes up in the Fiori Query Browser in preview mode.
However, my developers and I do not like using the Fiori Query Browser app.
Is it possible to configure Eclipse or the S/4HANA 2022 system to use the old Eclipse based Data Preview? Eclipse connected to S/4HANA 2020 uses the Eclipse based Data Preview but the Eclipse connected to S/4HANA 2022 uses the Fiori Query Browser app for the Data Preview.
I also noticed Eclipse-S/4HANA 2022 launches the Fiori Query Browser only for those CDS views that have the annotation below.
@Analytics.query:true
If the CDS view doesn't have this annotation, Eclipse-S/4HANA 2022 uses the Eclipse based Data Preview.
Thanks.

I think it is meaningless to preview cds of type query in eclipse. that's why sap open fiori app for you.

Hi,
can i ask how did you solve the Problem? I have the same Issue with Eclipse 2023-09 and ADT. When I try to run "data preview" it opens fiori and calls #AnalyticQuery-preview but it doesn´t work because the parameters in the URL are wrong (for example query instead bsa_query like in your screenshot).
Thanks in advance for your help
Kind Regards,
Carlo
