Dump READ_REPORT_LINE_TOO_LONG after undoing changes

Hello,

the report I'm working at still throws me this shortdump after manually undoing my code.

It only works after I get the old version back trough version control.

Why does this happen?

Hello thomass_

thomass_That must not happen during regular report development with SAP provided tools. See if the note 1348336 - Contexts: READ_REPORT_LINE_TOO_LONG during the check helps, otherwise contact SAP support.

Best regards

Hello Frederic,

yes this is the problem behind the error code. My problem is why this error is still being raised after I manually undo my code changes. When I use version control it doesn't happen. Also there is no line in code which is longer than 72 char.

It means that READ REPORT tried to store the ABAP lines in an internal table but it was truncated.

So not necessarily 72 characters.

You should post more details about the code which is short dumping...
