Dates field alignment in excel

HI experts,

I have a field bill plan  date FPLT-AFDAT in my report. when I download it to excel the dates are right justified in the excel which is OK, but for some of the line items if there is no bill plan , then this field remains initial. In that case, in excel the dates(00/00/0000) are coming in left justified .

I want for both the cases either the dates are initial/not initial , the dates should  have same right justification.

Please advise.

Thanks,

shadab.

Hi Shadab,

How you are downloading to excel?

Through ALV or using some standard function modules?

Through standard function module.

I have a custom button on my grid... On click of which I call a standard fm and download to excel

You mean you add a button on your ALV tool bar to download as excel and calling some function module like 'WS_DOWNLOAD'.

If that is the case why don't you try adding export button to you ALV grid?

Srikanth.

Sorry my bad, this is a classical report, not alv. here on the application toolbar we have put one button  called 'Download' on click of which FM 'GUI_DOWNLOAD'...downloads it to excel.
