Hi,

How to I attain the functionality of COMMIT-WORK without using the commit statement in a customer exit?

the system itself commits work at the end of the transaction, one need not to commit in an exit.

What if I want to do a commit before the transaction does a commit?

i think you cant use commit statement inside the user exits because it will end the luw. so it is not permitted to commit or ending the luw inside the user-exits correct me if i am wrong...

As suggested in your earlier thread, the LUW commit should be able to take care of comitting the function module inside your exit. There is no explicit command required.

The fall-side of putting in an explicit commit would be that data integrity would be lost in case the original transaction fails for some reason.

Hope this helps.
