Custom colum in generated table maintenance

Former Member

Hello all,

We have three fields in a table and hence when we use table maintenance we will get these three fields.

But a requirement is there where a fourth column needs to be shown. The column here is not stored in database but is calculated. Based on second and third field, the fourth field gets calculated and displayed on screen.

By using standard table maintenance we can get the first three fields.

We can add the new column to the generated screen but the logic has to be written for the calculation of fourth column.

Has anyone had experience in adding a custom column to the generated table maintenance screen?

Thanks,

Prasanna

u have to make use of EVENTs in TMG , first u have to create one more field in that table and re-generate TMG for the table and by using Events u have to update.

check tcode SE54.

Thanks for reply.

No I dont want to add the field in table as it should not be stored. It is just shown on the display in SM30 but actually not stored in DB.

SO I think I cannot use the events.
