Hi Friends,

I feel that the person with Java skill can work in application development like us(ABAPers) and he is having the wide range of options to work on EP/XI/MI.But i know that ABAPers needs to grasp Java skill before switching over to those areas, Whether ABAP can also be used in those areas as an alternative to Java in the future...

Thanks,

Abdul Hakim

Hi Abdul Hakim,

What ever module may be the module of S.A.P the

baseline is ABAP. It's is like a backbone of S.A.P without

it no modules exits in abap.

In all those areas you are saying whether it is a

EP or XI or MI ABAP is already is used at the end.

Java is just a OO concept. In it every thing are

Classes & Objects. It is not very hard to learn.

Since you are saying that every abaper has to

learn java to work with EP or XI or MI, in a similar way

an java user also needs to learn abap without it he can't

survive in that module.

Hope it helps.

Hi abdul,

1.

Whether ABAP can also be used in those areas as an alternative to Java in the future...

It all depends upon the technology used.

If its internet technology, then Java

will preferred in the future.

2. If its SAP Transactions,

ABAP will be there forever.

(SAP cannot AFFORD to

replace all their transactions soruce code

to java)
