can we create a rfc from SAP to Salesforce

Hi Experts,

Can you let me know if it is possible to setup a rfc connection from SAP to Salesforce ?

The short answer is "no". RFC connection can only exist in an SAP system (it's a proprietary term). It can only be used to allow a third-party system to connect to an SAP system or between two SAP systems.

To connect an SAP system (client) to a non-SAP system (server) you need to set up a connection in the server, not in the client system. Server is always the one allowing the connection (just like you would be the one to invite people to your house instead of people just randomly showing up). So this by definition cannot be an RFC connection because such thing as "RFC" simply does not exist outside of the SAP world.

There are certainly other remote connections but they won't be called RFC and would be configured in a different way.
