The security object M_MATE_STA can be used to control create/change/display access to specific material views within the Material Master. The division of the views is as such:
User department Maintenance status
Work scheduling A
Accounting B
Classification C
MRP D
Purchasing E
Production resources/tools F
Costing G
Basic data K
Storage L
Forecasting P
Quality management Q
Warehouse management S
Sales V
Plant stocks X
My question has to do with the Sales User Department. By default, all of the sales views are lumped into the maintenance status of V. I have a requirement where some users need to be restricted to changing only the Plant Level Sales Views (e.g. Sales Text and Sales General Plant) as opposed to the Sales Org 1/2 views.
I've researched, but cannot determine a way to create/modify the maintenance statuses in order to break them out such that they can be secured separately. Other than a transaction variant, does anyone else have any ideas?
