Hello Experts,

I have written one bdc program , in that i am getting

one error like value provided is more than the screen field.

I have declared like..

wrbtr TYPE bseg-wrbtr, "Amount in Document currency.

in the flat file i have given 500.12 , now it is giving the

error here stating that value is more.

please help me what exactly the problem is , and how to

solve it.

Thank you so much for all the replies

you need to declare a temp field like

data : temp_wrbtr type c length 16 .

and mone your wrbtr to this before populating BDCDATA .

AS 13 + 2 decimal places + '.' requires 16 character while

bseg-wrbtr is of only 13 char.

reward if helpful

You need to declare as :-

wrbtr(13) type c.

instead of declaring it as bseg-wrbtr. Also check your text file which you use to upload whether it is maintianed correctly and of the same length as that of the screen field.

Anu.
