Hi

I am a learner and trying to send IDOC from client 800 to 810. In this regard I have a small query !! Once configuration is done we will distribute the logical model. Could you please tell me actually what happens during the distribution of model ??

Meanwhile distribution can be done by using either of the two TS's. i.e BD64 and BD82. Could you please tell me the differences between these two TS's ??

Thanks in advance.

Hi ravindra,,,

just i also know some concept.....

in the two transaction codes bd64--customer distributiom model ,,,,,

in this u r going to

1.create a model view as per the requirement...

2. u r creating inbound and outbound system addresses(logical system) with message type.....

3. distriburing the model view what u have created(edit menu--model view-distibute)......

4. after distributing u r going to create a partner profile------

5. then it is going the creting partner profile sceen (if u want to create directly with bd82 u can go there)

6. there u give the logical systems name again...

and execute partner profiles were generated for inbound and outbound systems..

and if u go for we20 ,u can see the partner profiles ,that u have created with inbound and outbound messagetypes.....

i think part of the u r question is clarified.....

if u have any doubt u can ask again......

hi,

ale distribution model is in BD64

Configuring of the partner systems and profiles is done in BD64

BD82 is used for the generation of partner profile ..here i can allocate the size of idoc transfer to the target system as immediately or collect it as a bunch and send at suitable time.

example.

say u have configured the sender and receiver in BD64 for message type matmas .

now in order to trig the idoc u need to run BD10 .

when a range is given and this transaction(BD10) is executed then it looks for the partner profiles in BD64 to identify the target system with the port definition and the partner with message type.

now once this is success then idocs are triggered for this partner depending upon the idoc s triggering defined in BD82 .

we02/we05 idoc list

we20 --partner profile

we21--port definition

Distribution of the model will do the settings automatically in the target SAP systems.

BD64, you can create a dist. model, generate partner profiles and distribute the same.

BD82 - You can only generate partner profiles.

Using the distribution model we can make the link for sending the material from one logical system to to another.

ie. in bd64 you you are maintaining the settings for sending the material from one system to another .

In BD82 you are generating the partner profile without going to we20 .

ie. If you are sending material from client 800 with logical system XXX to client YYY, You have to maintain the partner profile to YYY in system XXX. Otherwise the XXX sym does'nt know its partner to whom it should send the material.

The difference between BD64 and BD82 is

In BD64 distribution and partner profile generation can be done .

BD82 is only for partner profile generation

hi

In bd64, you can create a model view of the idoc

in bd82, it generates the partner profiles like it establishes the gateway by assigning the port etc.
