BAPI and BADI

Hello ABAPers,

I am new to BAPI and BADI, i would like to know how can we trasfer mass data from legasy to R/3 using a BAPI, can anyone send me some sample code for MM01 mass upload.

I also would like to know how the business Addin work, can one send me some documentation how to work with BADI and where the BADI is going to effect.

Hi,

Using LSMW or BDc,you can transfer legacy data to SAP.

bapi is something similar to BDC's where you nedd not have to writae any code , only you need to pass correct values to correct fields , to find BAPI's -> goo se37 and enter bapi_material_* if you are looking for aterial related BAPI and find the suitablle BAPI for your requirement and pass the values accordingly.

BADI's are nothing but the any user exits with Oject oriented Concept if your are looking for BAdi's goto se18 and search for badi s according the development class , if found any goto se19 and implemment them

Hi Rajesh,

Welcome to SDN.

You can transfer leagcy data into SAP through BAPIS in LSMW quite easily..

Badi is all about enhancment using OOPs..
