Authorization for ABAP in Eclipse

Former Member

Hello,

I am making my first steps into the ABAP in Eclipse world, but am facing some kind of authorization issue.

The version of my installed Eclipse as well as the IDES system I want to connect are all compatible to ABAP in Eclipse, according to the documentation.

My user has been granted the role IDES_DEVELOP, however when I try to connect to the system via Eclipse I get the following error message: No authorization to access the resource /sap/bc/adt/compatibility/graph.

Is there any authorization object, role or profile especially required, to connect to SAP via Eclipse?

Regards

Sebastian

Hello Sebastian,

You must have the role SAP_BC_DWB_ABAPDEVELOPER, specifically check for the authorization object S_ADT_RES.

You can check in SU53 which authorization fails in your case.

I have the role SAP_BC_DWB_ABAPDEVELOPER; however, the role is missing a value in S_ADT_RES.

Modify the role to make sure it contain the following values

- URI=/sap/bc/adt/compatibility/graph

- URI=/sap/bw/modeling/discovery

- URI=/sap/bw/modeling/repo/is/dbinfo

- URI=/sap/bw/modeling/*
