Solved: Attaching Text to master data or to transactions?

Hello,

Need some guidance. Can I create text say 1000's of them in ECC or CRM and be able to select few from these texts to attached to material or sales order to say customers?

Say I am creating a new material and want to select and attach some texts to this material from previously created pool of texts?

I know that I could do it in an exit (most likely implicit enhancement) as long as the document type had existing long texts on it.

Is that something that you'd like to explore or am I misunderstanding?

Thank you Neil. May be I have asked in wrong forum. My question was whether I can create text / notes and select them and attach them to master data or to transactions. Is this a standard feature?

Hi SAM,

this is a consulting issue. Please analyze first what types of text can be configured for which data entity.

If you don't tell us what you are trying to achieve it is hard to help you.

It all depends. There is a standard feature in FI that would allow you to do that. It is not available everywhere in SAP. You will have to give us a better description of your problem. As Clemens said.
