ALV code populates fields when run in foreground, but not in background

Hello all,

Many years ago we implemented enhancement COOMEP01, which allows you to add additional fields to the cost center line item report called by transaction KSB1, program RKAEP000.

I just modified the code in the include used by this enhancement. I changed the logic that determines how those 3 fields are populated. In development those 3 fields are populated identically when the program runs in foreground or background.

In QAC those 3 fields are only populated when the program runs in foreground. When run in the background they are all empty. The field heading are there, but the values are not showing in the ALV cells.

I have reset QAC buffers using /$SYNC. I have cleared QAC ALV buffers with program balvbufdel. QAC was brought down and restarted since the transport moved from development into QAC.

I'm not sure what else to try our look at. Any thoughts?

Thanks
Bruce

We had to update, via transaction SM34, view cluster V_TKALV. 2 new fields needed to be added to the Selection dependencies section. Both of those fields referenced AWORG in the database field to read. That field was not previously used in select statement. Also the ALV displayed the fields differently depending on whether the field "Reference Org Unit" was included in the ALV display variant.

Note 325546 gives a good description of the process of setting this up.
