ADT installed without error but not abap option in exclipse project

Hi all,

I installed ADT 2.0 with eclipse 4.2 following sap installation guide (also tried with adt 2.16 with same result).

I have no error and when I check installed component in eclipse I see Abap tools and all other required software.

The problem is that nothing changed in my eclipse. I have no abap perspective and no abap option when creating a project.

Does anyone has an idea of the problem ?

Thanks

Sylvain

Hi,

Tried again but this times with Eclipse Kepler.

I have repeated exactly the same process and this is working with this version.

Still don't know what the problem was but I will use kepler

Thanks

You are running windows, installed the add-on via the "Install new software" option, and rebooted Eclipse?

Choose File -> New -> Other. No ABAP folder shown? Very weird.

Hi Joao,

I'm running on windows and installed with "install new software".

I rebooted after installation.

No abap visible anywhere

Thanks

Make sure you have not installed Eclipse in "Program Files" folder.  If so, install it in a different folder.

Otherwise open Error Log view and check for any error entry.

Christian
