I AM A FRESHER 2006 PASSOUT.I HAVE DONE MY COURSE IN JAVA,J2EE,EJB. RECENTLY I GOT PLACED AS TRAINEE ABAP.
I WISH TO SWITCH TO SAP NETWEAVER AFTER AN EXPERIENCE OF 1 YR.
CAN ANYONE PLEASE GUIDE HOW CAN I GO ABOUT IT.?
WHAT IS EXACTLY NETWEAVER AND WHAT ARE PREQUISITES TO SWITCH TO NETWEAVER.WHAT IS ITS SCOPE IN FUTURE.?
IS IT TRUE THAT NOW SAP IS ALSO SUPPORTING JAVA IN PLACE OF ABAP???
WHAT IS THE SCOPE FOR ABAP IN FUTURE??

Hi,
I think you are progressing and thinking in right direction as to working in ABAP developement for sometime and then moving to netweaver. ABAP will continue to be there for sometime atleast but for sure, SAP is more and more becoming netweaver centric and all future emphasis will be in and around Netweaver. However Netweaver framework has both Java and ABAP engines so development is possible in both. I would suggest that meanwhile you should learn more on Netweaver and keep your Java tech. skills fresh and updated.
