Hello,
Are there any plans to offer the "ABAP Development Tools for Eclipse (ADT)" component for Visual Studio Code? Our experience with Eclipse installs and updates has not always been very positive, we are looking for more options to use ADT.
Thank You,
Joe Valliparampil.

Hi Joe,
you might have a look at https://blogs.sap.com/2020/08/27/abap-development-in-vs-code-setup-guide-video/ or https://blogs.sap.com/2019/12/06/abap-development-in-vs-code/.
Apart from that, we do know about the desire to have ABAP Development in VS Code or other IDEs. So we currently closely watch the "IDE space" and we would like to keep various options (that make sense)Yet, there are many things that need to be done to successfully transform into the cloud (see ABAP Cloud blog) and that's of high priority for the ABAP Organisation. But of course, we never say never ;-).
Best,
Jasmin

hello Jasmin,
Thank You for the update.
With VSC already having the "SAP Fiori Tools" extension, it would be great if SAP considers porting ADT to Visual Studio Code.
At the moment, the "ABAP Core Development Tools" is what we are most interested in.
