On Saturday (8th July 2023) we (UTILIGENCE GmbH) were allowed to host this year's ABAP CodeRetreat, leaded and organized by Christian Drumm and Damir Majer in our office. We were very proud to welcome ABAP developers from outside as well as internal employees to our office on this day.
First, the participants received a brief introduction to the topic. After a short introduction to the task they were divided into small groups and worked together on the task. In between there was always a short exchange of what had been worked out with the entire group and at the end each team presented the solution they had worked out. In the end, the various approaches to solving the problem were exchanged so everyone was able to take something instructive away from the day.
During the work phases there was good communication in the individual teams and the different tasks were divided according to personal ability. Overall, there was a very pleasant, respectful and collegial working atmosphere.
Furthermore, there was a lively professional exchange among the participants, which everyone enjoyed very much. Of course there were also enough breaks to network with the other participants and exchange ideas.
Woo-hoo, the brilliant ABAP CodeRetreat 2023 is unfortunately already over. The enthusiasm and the lessons learned will stay with all participants for a long time.
