Hi All,

I have transported 5 entries from a custom table from development client to production client. Now i do not want the 5th entry that i transported to be present in the production client.

The table that i am working with is not asking for a transport request when i delete entries from it.i am deleting the entries through a maintenance view.In such cases how do i capture the deletion of the 5th entry in the development client and transport it across to the production system.

Cheers

Nishanth

HI NIshanth,

What is the delivery class for your table?

Is it 'C'??

Is it asking a request when creating entries atleast??

Ravi

Delivery Class is 'C' with display/maintenance allowed.

Data class is 'USER' and the size category is '0'.The entries are being added through the table maintenance only.It is not asking for any tranport request even when creating entries.

Hi Nishanth,

Pl verify if the 'Standard Recording routine' radiobutton is checked in the Table Maintenance dialog for your Table .

SE11> Change> Utilities-->Table Maintenance generator

Yes .. The standard recording routine button is checked..

What do i do next .. ?

Now any new entries/deletion should prompt for a Tr req..

It is still not asking for a TR .. The compare flag reads Automatically Adjustable ... the recording routine is checked ..Maintenance type is 2 step .. I simply dont get it as to why it is not askin for a request ..

thats weird.. Did you try to manually attach the entries in SE09?

Create a new workbench request in SE09.

Double click on it.

Click on the change icon

enter 'R3TR' under Program ID & 'TABU' under Object type and your custom table name under 'Object Name'.

Ok .. Suresh .. Let me give u the complete details ...

To transport the entries the process followed is to Put R3TR and TABU and then click on the ICON under the fucntion key and then specify the table keys that need to be transported with the number of the record that needs to be transported ..

I have been tryin since morning to sort the transport of deletion of table entries... i tried various combinations if the program name and the object type .. but there seems to be no way that the entries that are deleted can be manually entered into your transport request ..

I experimented by creating a Z program and then includeing it into a TR and i deleted the PGM and checked how these changes are kept track of in the TR .. but there seems to be no specific information stored anywhere in the TR where i can manually see that the ACTIVITY OF DELETION is captured in my request ...

I am still trying to figure out why there's no option to do this .. ?

Hi Nishanth,

If all settings are Ok and suppose to ask the TR then the next option is to check your client settings.

Check the below settings in sale->assign client to logical system.

Changes and Transport for client-specific objects

options are :

Changes without automatic recording

Automatic recording of changes

No changes allowed

Changes w/o automatic recording, no transport allowed

Its not sales.

The transaction code SALE. That is where you will ahve to assign a logical system to a client.
