Hi all,

I created a customer infotype MP900100. Now I have to translate the texts. So I intended to use TA se63. I follow the path translation --> ABAP-objects --> short texts --> S3 ABAP-texts --> SCRT screen painter texts. In field object name I put my MP9001* and press F4. From the following strike list I choose the entry with the dynpro I want to transalte. Translation from source language deDE to target language enUS. Then I push button Edit.

The error Object does not exist occurs. Unfortunately the help does not tell me more.

Does anyone know what is missing ?

regards.

Stefan

Why dont you jump directly from the dynpro to the translation?

goto the dynpro, then use the menu:

(will use german now as you sound very german)

Dynpro öffnen Menü->Springen->Übersetzung.

And there you are. hope it helps

Hi,

I believe all the screen fields are pointing to dictionary structure and field in the custom info type screen. If you do the translation for the corresponding data element, automatically it should reflect in the respective logon language.

Thanks

Hi Stefan,

I did this with autotexts before, too. Did you ensure that everything is activated and are you logged in in the language you also developed the infotype in? I mean, you developed for example logged in with German and are now logged in in German for translating the texts?

Regards.

Marc

Hi Marc,

yes, everything is activated and I#m logged in in German, the same language the infotype was developed.

Hi all,

addition:

maybe the infotype was not developed with pm01. Would it be possible that some entries in some tables are missing ?

Hi Stefan,

could be, but I think the system should still be able to let you create translation. Maybe you could recreate the includes for the infotype? Use report RPUMS40CCI for this.

Also check the customizing tables if everything's correct. I just tried in an 6.04 ERP and was able to create translations by both ways suggested above.

Marc

Hi Marc,

I started the Report RPUMS40CCI and found some obliquity in T77ID. I correct them but there is no effort, the same error occurs in se63.

You mentioned the check of customizing. What tables do you mean except T77ID ?

Hi Stefan,

ok. You could check the following links and the tables mentioned there, but I doubt that would solve your problem...

Just for curiosity, did you try to create a new infotype with PM01 and try to translate this one? Just to see if this works or not.

You can also try to "recreate" it. Go to PM01, give the infotype number and click on "Generate Objects". The system will notify you what objects already exists and create non existing ones. I wouldn't overwrite the existing ones, to choosing for them "no".

Marc

Hello Marc,

I checked all, can not find any mistakes. I also recreated the infotype as you desribed but no success

Then I created a new Infotype via pm01 and se63 works.

Hi Stefan,

could you check these tables:

T582L                          Infotypen - länderspezifische Einstellungen
T77NI                          Länderspezifische Infotypen

Maybe there's something wrong.

Marc

Hi Marc,

I checked these tables, no entries for the infotype. But this is ok I think because there are no entries for IT0001 too and this IT is processed in se63.

Hi.
I know it is 11 years, but today I face to same issue and solution is easy. Run report RSLANG20. Warning: report run is time consuming. When report finished translations works...
