Hello,
I'm just customizing the mySAP E-Recruiting for our company and since a while there is a strange problem with the letters and overview which are designed with Smartform.
If a generate an new Style and an new Form with a the which is formated e.g. in Helvetica the system only shows ### instead of the letters in the print preview and the PDF output. If the form is shown as an html-Site everything ist fine.
The only font which works fine also as PDF an the Print-Preview is Courier.
I also created some Test-Forms by myself which generate the same problems.
We are using the mySAP E-Recruiting 300 with SP10 running on our WAS 640 with Patchlevel 14 and SAP HCM 500.
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Philipp

Hi Philipp,
Let me guess..you are having the same problem we had long ago. We ended up re-creating the Smartform piece-by-piece. We didnt get the error in the new form. We started using it and did away with the old one. Strange?
Check this post by our friend Hari who encountered a similar problem and has elaborated in detail:
If you find a fix other than this, please let us know. Maybe there is a fix post-46c/47 on which we had this issue?
Thanks,
Anand

Is this happening for special characters or for normal alphabets as well. If this happens for special characters (for example $ or Pound symbol), you may have to use their corresponding element definitions like <163> etc.
Provide us more details on the above and I shall get back to you.

Hi,
thanks for your reply.
I already try to create a new Smartform only with a "hello world"-text in it. I also created a new style with the fonts Courier, Helvetica and Times New Roman in it. But it's still the same like mentioned above. So I think it will not work to copy the old forms step by step, if a newly created form does not work.
Yesterday I had spoken to an SAP-Consulant and he told me, they have actualy the same problems with one of thier Test-Systems. He told me, he heard they had changed something at the interfaces...

Hello,
the problem was a bug made by SAP comming up with the last Basis-Servicepack (SAPKB64014) the problem is solved with the OSS 890408 for Non-Unicode-Systems and with SAP-Note 734790 or Supportpackage 15.
