searchhelp of vbeln

Hi,

In table VBUK, there's neither check table nor searchhelp of the field VBELN.

But when I run the table, the input help of VBELN exists in Selection Screen.

why it's so? how the input help come from?

Hi,

Check the Data Element VBELN, a search help would have been mentioned.

Thats why you get the search help automatically.

Hi,

In the domain VBELN there is a value table or Check table.. so the values of the field VBELN are compared against the Check table values of that particular field and as the values are defined in the check table so you would get the value help ( F4 help ).

Hi rachel,

Actually the search help is a feature which can be attached at two levels:-

1.At data element level

2.At domain level.

If a search help is given at data element level,then the search help is shown from there.However if its not mentioned there then if the domain have a value table and that table contains that field with the search help attacheed in the value table then the search help is shown from there.This is an important feature of sap...

Hello rachel,

As i told you that the search help can either be at data element level or domain level but in this case the value table of the table is VBUK itself.

If you check the table VBAK,it also have VBELN as the primary key field and search help is maintained in that table, so the search help whick you are getting for this field in VBUK is because of the search help which is maintained at data elemnt level in table VBAK which is getting inherited...

the domain of the field vbeln of table vbuk has the value table vbuk which is itself.

btw, you can use the table itself as its value table, also could get input help with this way.
