SAP Trial installation stalling on unbuntu

hello all,

i downloaded and am trying to install the 7.52 version on an ubuntu virtualbox. whenever the installation begins it stalls like so:

please ask me for any information you need about the virtualbox client or anything else. i am quite new to this as i am trying to learn abap. thanks in advance 🙂

Sorry I should've mentioned that before, the VM eventually crashes after a few minutes

Please check if there is enough space on the file system.

this time i finally got an error message rather than it just crashing:

i dont understand how the disk is full. its 200GB. i thought the required amount was at least 100GB?

Yeah this is SAP, you need at least the double amount, because while installing it will extract some data and this needs space, I would recommend 400-500GB

Ok, I will reinstall a new VM with more space. 

Side note: I'm using Ubuntu, is that ok? My basis guy at work told me I should be using Suse but I couldn't find an iso for it.

Hi sorry it took me so long to get back to you but yes, the space on the VM was the issue. i upped it to around 400GB and everything worked fine. thank you 🙂
