SAP Build Apps - Renaming Apps

Dear Support Team,

1. when I copy App, I still cannot rename them. When will it be possible?

2. I had a workaround to export the app as zip.gpg file and create a new app with a new name and load the file but I am now facing a limitation of 200MB " file must be less than 200MB"-  mine is 224MB

Could we have this limitation raised to 500MB?

Thank you!

Hi,

I can't comment about the import filesize, AG/SAP team can advise better.

But renaming an app is possible. I just had a test run on mine, and it works. Attached a few screenshots if these helps.

Dear Mijanur, thank you for your answer. Now it works on my side too for the name changing.

How to rename the app in the latest version? There seems to be no option to do it right now?

Yes I am having the same problem as I use renamed apps to test features before implementing them in my main app.

I am talking with @Dan_Wroblewski in another conversation, perhaps he can help with this issue as well.

Hello SAP team,

When importing gpg file size of 240 MB in order to create new app, I have error information with message "

Request failed with status code 500". Could you please check? thank you

Hi,

It sounds like something is obstructing the size limit error. This would still prevent your import if it displayed correctly.

240MB sounds curiously large to me for a project size. How many pages does your app have, and are you storing lots of static data (e.g. images) inside the app which could be fetched over the network?

BR,
Pekka

Dear Pekka,

Thank you for your message. Yes, the app has images inside, but no videos, we need the app to be self standing, not loading from the network. The app has about 150 pages.

It should be possible to upload an app till 500MB I feel. Please let me know what can be done.

Another linked issue is that when we directly copy an app we cannot change the name at the time of copy and after the time of copy. It used to be possible by clicking on the name of the app once opened but this possibility disappeared. could you please reinstate this possibility to rename an app?

Thank you for attention

best regards

Chantal

@Pekka_Aaltonen

Dear Pekka,

It is not even possible to copy an app presently from the menu close to app icon. (see screenshot)

Could you please check and also raise the level for the upload of app file to 500MB ( or 400)? I still get error status code 500 (see screenshot). Thank you!

Best regards

Chantal
