Reg: Business Partner-Date of Birth Field

Dear Experts,

We have updated the Business Partner details through UI screen.While Updating Date of birth field is updating inconsistantly.

The change history of the Business partner is showing the new Date of Birth Value, but at the screen level of FPP3 transaction and at BUT000 table level the value is showing as space.This is not intermitent issue and not able to replicate in Pre-Production systems.

Please suggest me on this or guide me how to proceed on this investigation.

Hi Mohan,

Please check whether the field is altered in any enhancements (BADIs/Exits etc)

Thanks for the reply on this.

As per your suggestion i have checked the exits and BADI's.

But for your information the issue is not regular and it is very rare scenario.

We are updating the BP details from UI screen using the BAPI FM BAPI_ISUPARTNER_CHANGE.

As the issue is intermitent and happening only in Production system and we are not able to replicate in Pre-Production system.

Please guide me further on this.

Hello,

We are currently upgrading and ran into a similar issue in testing.  See OSS note 2039921.  Depending on your support package level, there are fields that can no longer be populated for certain business partner types.   Birth Date is not valid for partner type "group" and "organization".  It may be that the BAPI is ignoring the update.
