Need FM or BAPI to update CDHDR Table

Can you plese tell me, Is there any Function Module or BAPI to update the standard table CDHDR table as I do not want to use UPDATE Statement.

Can you make it clear, why u want to update CDHDR?

This will anyways gets updated while creation of change document.
