MS Word as Editor & SAP note 742662

Hello,

SAP note 742662 indicate Support Packages & Valid releases.

I have SAP ECC 6.0, non-Unicode system:  SAP_BASIS, 702, 0007, SAPKB70207 (support packages, release, level, package name)

My package name isn't in this list of Support packages. Do you think that is valid my release?

I see PC Editor but I don't see office's toolbar:

I have seen on web that insert a office toolbar:

What do I do wrong?

The note indicates a very heavy limitation for non-unicode installations.  I would worry about this.

Secondly, According to what you have said, this note is probably not officially supported for your version. to be sure however, I think I would issue a problem report to OSS.

Hi,

If your release is not on the list of the Note its not going to work. That's why the list of supported levels are given in the Notes so that you can compare and check with your current level.

Excerpt from the SAP note:

Please note: As of release SAP NW 7.0, enhancement package 1 and SAP NW

7.10 SP 05 the MS Word Editor is the only graphical editor available.

You do not need to enable the editor and also cannot disable it.

End Excerpt.

Hence I would assume that the Word editor is automatically enabled for your release.

However please try to enable it with transaction I18N.

If this does not work, then I would go for a customer message.

Run the program  RSCPSETEDITOR select the smartform and script check box and Activate. u will get the ms word editor.

Hi!!

I executed this program RSCPSETEDITOR and has worked well. Now I see MS Word editor. But now I have another problem. When I try to open editor popup showed me:

SAPscriptWord2007.dotm is locked for editing by another user

Actions:

* Open a read-only copy

* Create a local copy and merge changes later

* Receive notification when the original copy is available.

Any option allows me to open editor and edit the document. Included if I select cancel.

How I can remove this message to not be displayed to the user?
