mass user creation with roles

Hi,

I've to create 100's of user's with multiple roles how can i do the following task. As when i'm trying ecatt the roles part is greyed out and not showing up in the dynpro mode. Same case is with the lsmw. Please guide me how can I do the task in less time.

I would try as a second step (after the user IDs are created) to run a LSMW with BAPI_USER_ACTGROUPS_ASSIGN (you cannot specify this BAPI directly, you use it in field mapping and conversion step). Here is a blog explaining how it can be done:

Mass User can be created via SU10. Later since you ecatt is failing, in that scenario, next option is assigning Users in the needed roles via PFCG, you can add the correspondence Users at the same time. Generally it should have been done via using SECATT scripts.

Hint: For use of ecatt, you would require to enable the client ecatt option in SCC4, just in case you missed.

Do you have documentation for the SECATT script for SU10 that you can share with us? I tried recording SECATT with the latest version 7.60. The recording worked fine, but when I tried to update the parameters, it never takes me to the next screen to the "role: tab to update the parameter. I tried with SU01 and experience the same, it never take me to the "role" tab? I also notice we used to have the recording icon the right-hand corner, but with SECATT, it's no longer there. Is this normal?
