First you have mark the article for deletion using MM06 and then you can archive and delete using MM71.

You can only flag the material for deletion. You do this via MM02, or you can do it via BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA. THe material can only be fully deleted when the archive process has been ran for the object.

Is it the same procedure to delete a Vendor? Do you know the transaction code?

Thanks!

I believe that most objects in the system only allow you to flag for deletion, not all, but most. You can delete a vendor(or flag for deletion) using the transaction XK02.

Yes it is the same procedure but the tcodes are different. For vendors it will be XK06 for marking for deletion. The generic archiving transaction is SARA and the archive object for vendors is FI_ACCPAYB.

First you have Discontinue the Article via tcode WRF_Dis_Sel' then next SARA tocde select the ranges for archival process to complete
