In this case Do i need to REGENERATE the TMG?

Hello,

We have a Z table, it has Table Maintennace generator, with the below details,

1) authorization group = 222 i

2) Recording routine: No, or user recording routine radio button
well.

Now, i want to change those details as below,

1) authorization group = 333 i

2) Recording routine: Standard recording routine radio button

Pls. let me know, in this case Do i need to REGENERATE the TMG?

Hi,

You have to generate the TMG! Your switching on the recording routine!

If you feel not confidence about it, then you should regenerate it, of cause.  As the meter of fact, modification for these two, which are nothing to deal with the Generated function model itself.

Hello,

There is no need to re-generate TMG for recording routine.

For Authorization group also, I think it is not required as I assume SAP is not going to hard-code these values somewhere during TMG.

How about that - just check if it still works and if yes then you don't need to regenerate it? Would take less time than posting a question on SCN and you'd know for sure instead of waiting for a conclusion to this nail-biting discussion. Just IMHO...
