Firebase and last 4.12.107 Runtime Issues

Hello everyone,
I'm encountering an issue with the latest version of the Client Runtime.
My app compiles and uploads correctly to the Google Play Console, but when I download it and try to run it on my smartphone, it doesn't launch, and the screen displays this error:

com.facebook.react.common.JavascriptException: Error: No Firebase App '[DEFAULT]' has been created - call firebase.initializeApp(), js engine: hermes, stack:

It seems to be an issue related to Firebase configuration but i never configured Firebase on this app.

With this version of the Client Runtime, it's the first time I've encountered this issue.
Has anyone else experienced this?

THANX!

I'm also having the same issue

Good morning, everyone

If it helps, i also noticed that with this new version of the Client Runtime, it takes way less time to compile than usual: it only took me 3 minutes and the file was already ready to download.

Too bad that once installed, the phone can't start the app.

(I'm trying with a Samsung device with Android v. 14 and One UI v. 6.1)

The same here, after building the application and installing it on an Android device or emulator, I receive this error message. Has anyone managed to work around it?

Same issue here.

No way to change runtime version back to a working one before building the apk?

Yes, me too. The APK has also more than doubled in size.

Same here! It's quite frustrating—hopefully, the SAP team will address this issue soon.

Facing same problem. Tried on Android versions 12 and 13. Same issue with the older versions as well.

I noticed that the runtime version changed from 4.12.107 to 4.12.108, I generated an APK and tested it, now everything works.

Unfortunately, even with version 4.12.108, I'm still having some issues.

The app now starts up fine, but opening a specific page causes it to completely freeze (black screen).

Sure, the page has a lot of parameters, but it's always worked before, and everything runs smoothly within the SAP Build Apps.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

THANX!

Do you update any UI component? I encountered similar issue after upgrade "Image Card List" UI component to the latest version. There will be no issue if I skip the upgrade of that UI component.

Oh yeah, I don't get any more notifications for available updates.

We have fixed a related issue, but if this still happens with Client Runtime Version 4.12.127 or newer please let us know!
