Enhancements afterduring upgrade

Hi,

As I know enhancements are a layer of user code above SAP's code, so it will not clash one into the other.

Let's say I did put new a functunality into an enhancement (lets say in include incxxx). SAP changed the code and the process no longer uses include incxxx, how can I know during the upgrade or after the upgrade that this enehancement is obsolete and the new added funcunality is no longer valid?

Thanks

Eng Fisher Ariel.

As far as I know, SAP guarantees functionality of the "hooks" for bespoke enhacements also in future releases. For example, you can still use the ancient SAPMV45A includes today. They cannot just remove the call-up points without risking worldwide trouble with their customers. If they migrate to newer techniques (like "classic BADI" to enhancement point), then this should be communicated well ahead of time and supported during SPAU transaction.

Of course you should still look into migrating to newer enhancement techniques, if time and budget allow.
