Hi,
When I try to create a new ABAP program or class in Eclipse with ADT and try to link it to a sub package, I get a message "package does not exist". I can successfully link it when I use the normal SAPGUI. I can only see super pacakges in Eclipse. Is there any way I can make a 'sub pacakge' available in Eclipse ADT?
Kind Regards

Hi,
can you add sub packages as a favorite in ADT?

My first thoughts without further Information:
- Authorizations missing? --> Check SU53 right after trying.
- backen System configuration incomplete? (although most of that is docu-related)

Are you sure to be on the good project ? (project = SAP System)
I do it so many time, thinking I am on the dev system, but not 🙂

Hi Deon,
I assume that the problem does not relate to sub packages or super packages. If you have authorization to create objects in a certain package, you should also be able to assign the object to the package. I can remember a problem when the package name was exactly 30 characters long...
Maybe you could share your example with package names or even a screenshot?

Hi Michael,
Authorisation is definitely not the problem as it works perfectly in the normal SAPGUI and I use it for everyday developments. I attached some screenshots.

Hi Michael,
I don't see anything in US53. Is there any other way to see what authorisations is failing? Why would the super package then work?

Hi Deon,
I do not think that it is an authorization problem. Could you please open a ticket and also mention if you are able to find the package with Ctrl+Shift+A (Open ABAP Development Object)?
And don't forget to refer to this thread when you describe the issue.
Thanks,
Michael
