Different screen look and feel on desktop and laptop

Hello Experts,

I have created one screen with the custom container for calling OOPS ALV.

When I call this screen in my laptop I get one horizontal and one vertical scroll bar(Screen Shot attached, laptop.jpg).

When I call the screen on my desktop I get only two horizontal scroll bars and lot of empty space between the two scroll bars(Screen shot attached, desktop.jpeg).

I want my screen to look the same shown on laptop irrespective of any reason because of which the above difference exists.

I simply want my OOPS ALV and custom container to occupy the entire window space without any empty region between the scroll bars and without any unnecessary scroll bars.

Please let me know in case of any other detail you want.

Best regards,

Pankaj Kumar

1) Dont use containers for alv (cl_salv_table dont need a screen&container)

2) If you must use container then use cl_gui_docking_container. It will fill whole screen anyway.

Hi!
Do you really need a custom container? Do you know you can avoid using it and let the system adapt the grid?

For example

Anyway desktop and laptop can show different layout (your scrollbar) due screen size and resolution.

go with a docking container.

Either use some docking and splitter container, so you can create container on whole screen window, or define your dynpro and the included custom containers with a very wide size, and set the resizing option on both.

Hi , We also faced same problem and solution is to have a docking container , it automatically fits as per the screen resolution be it lappy or desktop .

Also if you have your screen and container check for horizontal and vertical check boxes in properties.

Thanks
