Defining QR Code in SE73 in SAP_BASIS 740 patch 9, kernel 301

Hello Experts,

I am trying to generate QR code in SMARTFORMS, I asked my Basis administrators to apply note 2029589, but the say it no longer apply for us because our SAP system is higher than the note requirement, (SAP_BASIS 740 patch 9, kernel 301), they claim correction note should be already applied in our system, but when I try to create ZQR in SE73, QR code 2005 is not showing:

Should I ask to apply note anyway?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

Check SAP Note: 2030263 - "Support for QR Code 2005 Barcode in SAPscript and Smart Forms" which describes the following:
"Attention: Since the QR Code generator is kernel-based, the 742 kernel patch from note 2029589 is required for 740 SP09 !"

This means that you will need to apply kernel patch 742 if you wish to use QR Code 2005.

I asked my BASIS team about the 2030263 note, the y told me that there say it apply for Kernel 742, but our system is in Kernel 749 PL 301, is not possible to apply via SNOTE because it only applies for patch 8 de SAP_BASIS, maybe QR code is note available for Kernel 749 or it is with different name.

From release 740 SP09, the New Barcode Technology supports the QR Code. It was delivered by Support Package SAPKB74009.

You wrote that your Kernel release is 749. Can you check if the correction of the following note resolves this problem:

2340474 - SE73: QR code cannot be selected (delivered with 7.40 SP 16)

My basis team applied the note, now the QR Code 2005 available in SE73
