Converting Classical BADIs to Kernal BADIs

Hi Experts,

Please help provide the inputs for below point as early as possible.

How to convert Classical BADI to Kernal BADI because Calssical BADIs are existed in older version 5.O So my Client wants to convert those to Kernal BADIs in EHP 7.2 Version.

Please provide the steps to convert Classical BADI to Kernal BADI.

I don't this this is possible. Badi's are nothing but hook's provided by SAP to add custom logic. unless SAP has converted them, you (as a end customer of SAP product) cannot convert a classical into a kernel badi. We as end customer can only add implementations.

As you would know, the new badi's are assigned to enhancement spots and should be called using get/call badi statements. Unless SAP has provided all these (spots, call at the required places), we cannot do this.

The above statement is true for all badi's provided by SAP. If these badi's that you are referring too are custom badi's then, we can achieve this.

Seems this is possible, but pretty complex.

Yes that's possible but only for custom BAdIs. Although most probably that's what the OP is interested in but just in case.
